A partir del relat d’una família, Benet i Jornet planteja una crítica al sector social dels que es van deixar convèncer i arrossegar per la imatge autocomplaent d’una societat del benestar servida per l’anomenada política desarrollista que la dictadura de Franco va promoure i difondre a partir dels anys seixanta.
